How I'm Finding The Subject So Far:

So far, I'm enjoying the subject. Although a lot of the work can be very time consuming, it has helped me to appreciate films a lot more as I understand how much work goes into making them! I really underestimated how much Media would help me understand what goes on in films, and now I can't help but point out the cool film tricks made to all of my friends who don't take Media.

Self Assessment:        
In this assignment, I think WWW was….
- We added more visuals and had more of the slides that we needed.
- We each put in a lot of efffort and met up to edit and add additional information.
- Our slides were clear and well presented.
In this assignment, it would have been EBI if….
- We had properly covered everything that needed to go into the slides.
- We split the work more eficiently.
-We had met up once more to ensure we had fully covered everything.

Record of Grade:        
In this assignment I would have graded myself with a grade C because i put a lot of hard work into the organisation of the slides, and I organised when we met up and covered a lot of the slides that my team members hadn't finished. I received a grade D.
Targets to improve:    
To improve on this assignment I need to organisise everyone a bit better to ensure that my grade and their grades go up.

We've changed this and have less conventions, but all of the conventions we now have are for a thriller film.

We had limited detail about what our genre was and didn't give an in depth explanation for it.

In this assignment I would have graded myself with a grade C because the slides that i had personally put together were quite organised, however my conventions list needed some improvement and i could've used more supporting images. I received a grade D.
Targets to improve:    
To improve on this assignment I need to organise the slides better and in the order that was on the sheet given. Put more supporting images up, and support any of my group who don't understand the task set as this can bring our overall grade down.

Memento - Films in Class/ Film Club

Title: Memento Genre: Drama/Mystery/Thriller Today in class we watched Memento. It is about a man that has lost his memory after a burglary gone wrong that seemingly lead to the death of his wife. From this film I learned about the use of flashbacks and how much information you can give to the audience via these flashbacks. From the film I was inspired by the use of flashbacks. With each flashback, you thought you'd learn more, but you actually got a lot more confused than you were and had to wait till the end for the film to make total sense. I really enjoyed it though! And perhaps flashbacks could be considered in out opening sequence when we actually make one! In my second media class, we were asked to research all of the new technologies that are used to make a recent film. The film that I chose was Tron, which I found to be a really impressive film, mostly because of the special effects and awesome costumes.

In this assignment, I think WWW was…
- The use of Prezi for my presentation
- Well labelled images that were relevant to what I was saying. 
- When I presented it to my class, I was loud and clear and they had no trouble understanding me. 

In this assignment, it would have been EBI...
- If I'd learnt my opening sequence through and through, as when I was asked to explain it, I lost confidence in my idea and didn't convey what it was all about properly.
Record of Grade:        
In this assignment I would have graded myself with a grade C because I had good images, but didn't draw my own storyboard and I didn't explain my idea very well. I received a grade D+.
Targets to improve:    
To improve on this assignment I need to add more detail and screen shots from films. 
Be entirely comfortable with my idea before presenting it.

This is the edited draft, as with the first draft, I had an issue presenting it as the background colours and the text colours were too similar. I couldn't work out how to save the amendments as a new presentation, so had to save it over the old copy.
